The entries offer introductory material, career information, ‘affiliation’ (the group or groups the individual’s were part of), influence on music, and sources for further reading. Sometimes an image (in the style of an artist’s rendition) of the individual is included.

VERDICT: This solid general reference is suitable for casual music aficionados and provides a jumping-off point for further research.”
